In order to better install doors and windows tightly and prevent air leakage, construction engineering sealing strips are generally installed, which can prevent dust and moisture, sound insulation and noise reduction. But many people have not mastered it, especially in terms of installation.
The main application of building engineering sealing strip is plastic steel windows, aluminum doors and windows, wood doors and windows, aluminum-plastic doors and windows, etc. Sealing strips on the market are generally extruded from PVC, modified PVC, EPDM, elastomer sealing strips (including TPV, TPE, TPR, SEBS), silicone rubber and other materials. According to the different application fields, it can also be divided into three categories: door cover sealing tape, siliconized top and glass sealing tape (sealing tape). The door/sleeve sealing strip is the key to the sealing of the door frame and the door cover, the siliconized wool strip is the key to the sealing of the door frame and the door leaf, and the glass sealing strip is the key to the sealing of the glass window, the door leaf and the frame.
The installation method of building engineering sealing strip is as follows:
1. Glass gasket and notch sealing tape:
Windows and windows should be welded after cleaning the corners, and the sealing tape should be pushed into the aluminum profile groove with a small amount of force according to the appropriate surface orientation with special rollers. At the same time, the top of the sealant head should be pressed to the inside of the aluminum profile groove. Because the sealing strip is an elastic material, it is likely to shrink after being rolled. The correct approach is: when the sealing strip is installed at the connection between the two sides, the sealing strip is contracted to the middle, leaving a folding amount of 2-3cm, and then breaking it into the groove.
2. Laminated glass decorative strip:
Put the sealing strip into the aluminum profile groove by hand according to the appropriate surface, and then press the sealing strip into the gap between the laminated glass and the aluminum profile with great force. The sealing strip on both sides of the head shrinks to the middle, leaving a size of 1-2cm, and then breaks and presses into the groove hole.
The common problems of installation of construction engineering sealing strip are as follows:
1. Before installing laminated glass, clean up the dirt in the tank, such as cement mortar, brick chips, debris, etc. When placing the laminated glass, ensure that the gaps on both sides are symmetrical, and immediately align and fix them to avoid impact and movement and offset of the slot core.
2. The silicone rubber sealing strip should not be pulled too tightly, and the cutting length is 2O-30mm longer than the installation length. The installation should be embedded in time, the surface layer should be vertical, and closely contact with the laminated glass and laminated glass groove, so that the force near the laminated glass is symmetrical. At the corner, the vulcanized rubber strip needs to be broken on a slope, and the broken part must be glued firmly.
3. When the laminated glass is caulked and fixed with sealant, the laminated glass shall be squeezed with vulcanized rubber strip or vulcanized rubber block first, leaving a glue filling gap, and the glue filling depth shall not be less than 5mm. Before the glue is dry, make sure the laminated glass does not shake. 4. The assembly position of siliconized wool top is generally on the window (door) leaf, around the frame leaf or on the sealing bridge (wind deflector) to improve the sealing between the frame leaves.
5. The specifications and models of siliconized wool are the main factors that endanger the doors and windows and the sealing performance, as well as the main factors that endanger the opening and closing forces of doors and windows. Silicized wool is too large or too high, which not only makes installation difficult, but also increases the frictional resistance of movable doors and windows, especially the initial pressure when opening and the frictional resistance when closing.
6. The specifications and models are too small, or the height-to-width ratio of the vertical siliconized top is insufficient, which is easy to slide out of the slot and greatly reduces the sealing function of the doors and windows. Siliconized tops need to be siliconized. Qualified siliconized tops have a vertical appearance, smooth bottom plate and bristles, no bending, no black spots on the bottom plate, and meet the requirements of 0.2mm.
